1400 Fashion Island

This is a bank of four elevators, where one is used as a service/freight cab. Since it’s available for tenant use, the property manager wanted the freight cab to emulate the standard passenger cab design but use more durable materials. The property management was also working on a lobby renovation and wanted the lobby design colors/elements to inspire the cab interiors.

The standard passenger cabs were finished using a combination of glass on the back wall with gloss laminate on the side walls. The lower panels were finished with Starbright stainless steel, a scratch-resistant material – perfect for a lower panel.

The freight/service cab had an identical layout but used Starbright stainless steel on all panels.
