2105 Bancroft Way
Built in 1905 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this Classical Revival-style building was in need of a new elevator interior.
Originally built for Berkeley’s Masons, the design inspiration for a new elevator interior came from the building’s history.
Since the Masons' primary color is blue, the choice was simple: vertically oriented, durable, blue laminate panels. Bronze highlights were added in the base, handrail, and reveals. Perimeter lighting was used to highlight the blue panels.
