This project is an example of bringing two spaces together: the lobby and the elevator interior. UEI worked alongside RMW Architecture Interiors to incorporate lobby design elements into the elevator interior design.
Usually, elevator interior lines are straight and square, but not in this case. This design required angular LED panels in the ceiling to align with wall LED panels. If you look closely, you’ll also see a small hairline cut in the wood section of the ceiling panel. This is actually a removable panel that provides access to the emergency hatch in the cab shell dome – a requirement in nearly every cab interior design.
