If you get a chance to visit The Balcony on Beverwil shopping mall, located about 9 miles west of downtown LA, you’ll get to see three different elevator types and three distinct elevator interior designs. Each was created to fit a specific elevator's use.

Generally, shopping center elevators endure lots of abuse, mostly from shopping carts. With this in mind, we opted for Starbright stainless steel for the lower panels in two of the cab designs.

Starbright is a highly scratch-resistant stainless steel that looks fantastic. Above that, we used tough wood-grained plastic laminate, creating continuity across all four elevators.

The "back-of-house" elevator is designed to resist pallet-jack abuse, featuring an additional design element: thick wood bumper rails on each wall. The floors are either rubber or stainless steel tread plate.
