Ghirardelli Square - Passenger Cabs

Our customer wanted to bring the history of the old Woolen Mill building to these two elevator interiors.

We worked with our laminate supplier to build a custom panoramic photo into the laminate, spreading across the side and back walls. To add a more rustic feel, we used galvanized steel for the handrail and metal grating for the ceiling diffusers – a couple of non-standard materials. Hot-rolled steel was used for the reveals and base.
