Hotel Drisco
The Hotel Drisco is a 1903 Edwardian boutique hotel in the upscale Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Glenn Texeira Design created this elevator interior design as part of a complete hotel interior overhaul. Durability and elegance were the main design criteria.
We used mahogany laminate in a traditional frame and stile design for the primary wall finishes, with the inset panels trimmed using roll-formed stained bronze.
The handrails have a classic design with volute ends. The same handrail design, but in a larger profile, was also installed as a discreet bumper rail closer to the floor to mitigate luggage abuse.
You will also notice the stacked mahogany crown molding that frames the top of the cab and the custom radiused dome ceiling. The crown molding hides the warm LED perimeter lighting.
